Janice Lea (Ruff) Brady

Janice Lea Ruff Brady, 75 years old, of China Grove, went to be with her Lord on January 17, 2024, surrounded by her family.  Janice was born on April 24, 1948, in Cabarrus County to the late James and Glenna Wyke Ruff.

Janice was a proud Christian woman who loved her Lord and family.  She enjoyed watching game shows on TV, sewing, listening to Gospel music and traveling to the beach.

Janice was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, James “Jim” Brady in 2021 and her two sisters, Judy and Joyce.  Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lynn Sellers and her husband Craig; her son, Scott Brady and his wife Kristie; her grandchildren, Chris Sellers and his wife Jennifer, Marissa Basinger and her husband Spencer, Allison Taylor, and Cameron Brady; her great grandchildren, Aubree, Erin, Addilyn and Layla; her sisters, Joanne Middleton and her husband Jack and Jeanette and her husband Keith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 2PM in Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church Cemetery in China Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in her name to either Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Ln, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org .
