Janice Sealey Stylianos

Obituary: Janice Sealey Stylianos, 74, of North Charleston, formerly of Davidson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Trident Medical Center, Charleston. Death was unexpected. Janice was born October 24, 1941 in Robeson County, NC a daughter of the late Clifford James Sealey and Lolether Sweatt Sealey. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Kleanthis Stylianos. In early life she and her husband lived in Long Island, NY where she was a stay at home Mom raising her family. They later moved to the Charlotte area where she opened Olympia Catering. She continued to work until earlier this year when she retired to Charleston, SC. Janice enjoyed gardening, fishing, penny slots and dancing to the oldies. Since retiring she has enjoyed making new friends, spending time with family and painting. Survivors include two daughters, Alexandra Phipps and husband Kevin of Charleston, SC., and Joann Stylianos of Charlotte, two grandchildren, Marissa Phipps and Tim Phipps and step-son, Miltidaes Stylianos of Summerville, SC. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Vicar Rick Williams. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
