Jean Pope Bollinger

Obituary: Jean Pope Bollinger, 83 of Concord, NC passed away at CHC-Main in Charlotte on May 8, 2016. Death was unexpected. Jean was born on February 22, 1933 in Union Co., NC, the daughter of the late James B. Pope and the late Jessie Mae Bryant Pope. In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband, John Wallace Bollinger and a sister, Ercel Hurlocker. Jean was a member of First Baptist Church in Concord. She loved her family and also loved her Lord. Survivors include her son, Ricky Bollinger (Annette) of Kannapolis; a daughter, Christi Barbee (Craig) of China Grove; a granddaughter, Courtney Barbee of Raleigh and a sister, Shirley Haynes. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11th at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Tom Anderson. The family will receive friends in the church parlor of First Baptist Church in Concord from 3:00-4:00 after the graveside service. Memorials can be made to: Cabarrus County Meals on Wheels, 1701 S. Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday Graveside Service Carolina Memorial Park.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
