Obituary: Jean Freeze Carter, 76, of 1302 Kyle St., Supply, NC died at her home on Saturday, August 30, 2014 Jean was born on November 20, 1937 in Cabarrus Co., NC, the daughter of the late Scott Milton Freeze and the late Minnie Copley Freeze. Mrs. Carter was a member of Sharon Methodist Church in Supply and was a beautician. She was an avid fisherman and considered by many to be a "professional" fisherman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jean always saw "the best" in everyone she met. Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Carter of the home; a son, Johnny Cantrell of Davidson, NC; 3 daughters, Donna Willis of Davidson, Debra Dickers of Granite Quarry, NC and Kathy Anderson of Supply; 5 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren and a sister, Betty Ritchie of Davidson. The funeral service for Jean will take place at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2nd at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel conducted by Rev. Eddie Hill and Rev. Joe Harding. Burial will take place at Carolina Mem. Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m., Monday at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel.
