Jean (Woods) Wagers

Jean Woods Wagers, 77 years old, of Concord, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 5, 2024.  Jean was born on June 26, 1946, in Kentucky to the late Jesse and Allie Herron Woods.

Jean loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She loved to travel the US in her RV with her husband Gary, cooking Sunday dinners for her family, shopping with her daughters, and granddaughter, attending for the past 21 years the Southern Christmas Show, attending her family reunions yearly, and going to her grandchildren’s various sporting events.  Jean was also a member of Grace Church Concord.

Jean was predeceased by her stepfather, Ernest Lee; her granddaughter, Harper Brooks; her brother, John “Buddy” Woods; and her brothers-in-law, Ken Sullivan, Joe Worthey, and Phil New.  Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Gary Wagers; her daughters, Gretchen Ryerson and her husband Tim, Rebekah Brooks and her husband Kenny, and Laura Crawford and her husband Dan; her grandchildren, Brianna, Anthony, Brent and Cameron Ryerson, Austin, Michael and Elijah Brooks, Ashley and Phillip Crawford, and Tiffany Dunlap and her husband Landon; her brother, Jerry Woods and his wife Glenda; her sisters, Jackie Sullivan, Katie Worthey, Joyce New, and Janice Reed and her husband Bill, and her sister-in-law, Rhoda Woods.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 11am to 1pm at Grace Church Concord with a funeral service at 1pm officiated by Rev. Mike Dominick.  Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
