Obituary: Jeannie Cannon Parnell, 54, of Kannapolis died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at CMC-NE after a period of declining health. Her family will celebrate her life by receiving friends at Whitley's Funeral Home on Sunday, October 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Jeannie was born January 8, 1958 in Cabarrus Co. Her father was the late Joe Cannon, Sr. and her step-mother was the late Jean Cannon. She was a beloved wife to her husband and homemaker to her daughter. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 7 years, Rick Parnell of Kannapolis, her daughter, Jodie Bonds and husband, Marcus, her grandson Cooper Chrisley, all of Abbeville, SC, her sisters; Lani Cannon of Charleston, SC, Joan Dillard of China Grove and "Teci" Clark of MI, her brother, Joe Cannon, Jr. of Kannapolis and other loving relatives.
