Jeffery Lee Holcomb

Jeffery Lee Holcomb, 69, of Concord died unexpectedly at Atrium Health Cabarrus on Monday, December 4, 2023, after a brief period of declining health.

A memorial service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, December 8 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel. His family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior to the memorial service, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.

Jeff was born July 9, 1954, in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Joseph and Helen McManus Holcomb. He graduated from NW Cabarrus High School and then UNC Charlotte. He worked for over 30 years for Duke Energy at the McGuire Nuclear Power Plant as a radiation protection specialist until he retired.

Jeff was a martial arts instructor and a hobby farmer. He enjoyed old cars and antique tractors. Jeff liked dancing and playing Pickle Ball.

Jeff is survived by 2 daughters, Kristi H. Huntsberger (Dan) of Denver NC and Lori H. Whitcomb (Greg) of Concord, 2 grandchildren Owen and Aubrey Whitcomb and 2 former wives, Karan Whitley of Concord and Christie Holcomb of Greenville SC. Jeff was a loving father and grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
