Jeffrey Durward Padgett, 60 of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Northeast following a short illness.
Jeffrey was born April 2, 1961 in Onslow County, NC a son of Vernice Hollis Padgett of Maple Hill, NC and the late Durward Hugh Padgett. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Alexa Padgett.
Jeffrey was owner/operator of Silver Mine, Inc., DBA Jewelry Mine for 24 years. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
He was a member of Morningstar Fellowship. He loved animals, he and his wife have three rescue dogs.
Jeffrey enjoyed cooking, barbecuing and being creative. He was energetic, athletic and a second degree black belt. He loved the Lord with all his heart.
Memorial services will be held on November 21 and November 27; there will be s service at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 21st at the Village Chapel, 310 Brookdale St., Kannapolis NC 28083 and then at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 27th at Pineland Church, 205 King Rd., Jacksonville, NC 28540.
Survivors left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother, include his wife of 24 years; Katherine Niblick Padgett, two daughters, Carrie Niblick of Ocoee, Fla., and Heather Niblick Connell and husband William of Greensboro, two sons, Steven Niblick, II of Ocoee , Fla., and Shane Padgett and wife Erica of Eden, NC, a brother, Brent Padgett of Maple Hill, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren; Lacie Padgett, Maggie Connell, Killian Padgett and Baylen Padgett.
