Obituary: Jeffrey LeReese Walter, 56, of Penninger Rd., Concord, died Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2:17A.M. at CMC-Northeast Medical Center in Concord. Jeff was born May 3, 1961 in Cabarrus County. He was the son of the late Pleasant William Walter and Amy Beatrice Drye. He was employed by Yellow Freight in Charlotte. Jeff was a hard-working, dedicated family man. He dearly loved his sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. For nearly 20 years before his parents died, Jeff and his family ran the Horror Hills Halloween Trail benefitting Easter Seals and the American Red Cross. He was a great auto mechanic, he painted cars, and he was a woodworking craftsmen. Jeff is survived by two sons, Zaceria Nathaniel Walter (wife Melissa Gadd), Joshua Max Walter, three grandchildren Brayden Michael Walter, Emory Rose Walter, and Ryder Nathaniel Walter; two brothers Gary Douglas Walter (Betty), Roy Welburn Walter (Nancy); one sister, Michele Walter Causby; two nephews, Doug and Ben Walter; one niece Aimee Causby all of Concord; and one niece, Karen Walter Rayburn of Irma, SC. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home and service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor John Mark Lindsay with burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jeffrey LeReese Walter's name to charity of your choice. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the Walter family.
