Jeffrey “Johnny” Fields Wilson, 70, peacefully passed away and went to be with his Lord, Monday, January 20, 2020, from Atrium Health Cabarrus, with his family by his side.
Born May 20, 1949 in Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Jack Wade Wilson and Evelyn Curry Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angel; and 2 brothers, Jerry “Fuzzy” Wilson and Ricky Wilson.
Mr. Wilson had worked in textiles most of his life, where he was a talented fabric design printer. He soon discovered that he really enjoyed being retired. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Wilson loved all of his family and the time spent with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family members left with cherished memories include his wife of 50 years, Kathy Tilley Wilson; his daughters, Michelle Wilson Clark (Richard), Misty Ann Key (Tommy) and Amber Faith Wilson; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob and Morgan Clark, and Leah and Eli Key; great-grandchildren, Isabella Clark, Kaylee Pittman and Emma Petterson; his brothers, Butch, Terry and Woodie Wilson; his sisters, April Williams and Tanya Wilson; nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Wilson will begin at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 25th at Westside Baptist Church, 201 Clancy Street, Salisbury, NC 28147, conducted by Pastor Joel Hiatt. The family will speak with friends following the memorial service.
