Jennie Mabel Tarlton

Obituary: Jennie "Mabel" Biggerstaff Tarlton, 85 of Rockwell, NC died January 8, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. Mabel was born on January 25, 1930 in Gaston Co., NC, the daughter of the late Alford A. Biggerstaff and the late Ella Cleo Smith Biggerstaff. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "C.J." Tarlton, also, by 2 children; Charles Dale Tarlton and Susan T. Goodin and siblings; Mary, Kathleen, Evelyn, Guy, Robert and Cleveland. Mabel was a member of Phaniels Baptist Church in Rockwell. The service for Mrs. Tarlton will take place at 1:00 P.M., Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at Phaniels Baptist Ch. conducted by Rev. Michael Taylor. Burial will take place at Carolina Mem. Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 PM, Monday before the service. Survivors include seven grandchildren; Shelly Wright, Jenny Stirewalt, Lori Stallings, Barbara Morris, Lanette Follenius, Eric Tarlton and Leann Tarlton; nine great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and a sister; Rosa Black. Memorials can be left to: Phaniels Baptist Church "Building Fund" or to Mrs. Tarltons Funeral funds, both made to Phaniels Baptist Ch., 2675 Phaniels Church Rd., Rockwell, NC 28138.
