Obituary: Jerry Arnold Hunter, age 67, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC. He was born September 26, 1946 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late Henry Perry Hunter and Nettie McIntyre Hunter. Jerry was employed with the former Pillowtex Corp., Kannapolis, NC. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. having served during the Vietnam Conflict. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday, February 17, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC with military rites conducted by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Monday at Whitley's Funeral Home prior to the service. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Laureen George Hunter; a son, Billy Hunter of Kannapolis, NC;
