Obituary: Jerry E. Bradley, 78 of Mooresville, formally of Kannapolis, passed away, Monday, November 27, 2017 at his home. He was born February 6, 1939 in Rowan County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey Karriker. Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and also served in the National Guard, he was a volunteer Firefighter, and a Mason Jerry enjoyed working the Chain Crew at the A.L. Brown football games and also enjoyed Woodworking. He was a loving husband, father, Grandfather, and Great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Griffin Bradley, Oct. 22, 1990, and one brother William Karriker. Those Left to cherish his memory, his wife Sylvia Bradley, son Chris Bradley of Kannapolis, daughter Melanie Howell (Kevin) of China Grove, Step-Daughter Kelli Howell of Kannapolis, three sisters, Brenda Kirby (Jimmy), Terry Norris (Cody), Shirley Doby (Alan), eight grandchildren, Amanda Rea, Bridget Thompson, Ryan Bradley, Zackery Howell, Dylan Brown, Mckenzie Caudill, Nathalee Morris, Malaki Miles, and three Great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday Dec. 1, 2017 at Charity Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Payton officiating, burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove with military honors. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 PM at the Church. Memorial may be made to Shriner's Hospital, 950 West Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
