Obituary: Jerry B. Carpenter, age 76, of Albemarle, N.C., died Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the W.G. 'Bill' Hefner VA Medical Center Liberty Lane Hospice House, Salisbury, NC following a period of declining health. Mr. Carpenter was born on September 11, 1941 in Albemarle, NC He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Regina Carpenter, a brother, Harvey Carpenter and sister, Lorraine Carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Juanita B. Carpenter of Albemarle, and a brother, Earl Carpenter of Indian Land, S.C. Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Meadowcreek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Elder John Robins. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Stanly County Honor Guard. The family will speak with friends following the graveside service. Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis is serving the family of Mr. Carpenter.
