Jerry W. Caster

Obituary: Concord, NC- Jerry Wayne Caster Sr., age 66, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House Kannapolis, NC surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 24, 1950 in Rowan County, NC, the son of Peggy Caskey Wardell and the late Bill Caster. Jerry worked for Carolina Memorial Park for over 30 years and retired in 2014. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, he enjoyed being by or on the water as often as he could, he also enjoyed building things and always had a new project he was working on. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife Betty McIntyre Caster Dec. 31, 2016, a son, Jerry Wayne Caster, Jr. 2003 and step-father Charles Wardell. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Carolina Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Mike Smith. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM prior to the memorial service at the chapel. Those left to cherish his memory, his children, Donna Caster Wagoner & husband, Jesse; Christina Caster Presutti & husband, Owen; and Michael Caster; his grandchildren, Heather Evans, Austin Caster, Chase Caster, Kearstin Caster, Zachary Nesbitt, Owen Presutti, Jarrad Presutti, Kadin Presutti, and Karrisa Presutti; his siblings, twin brother Terry Caster and wife Pam, two sisters Billie Page and husband Doug, Donna McCorkle; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorials be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
