Jerry E. Kennerly

Obituary: Jerry E. Kennerly, 69, of the Enochville community in Kannapolis, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. His funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 21 at Bethpage United Methodist Church with Rev. Marcus Portis and Rev. Duane Melton officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. His family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2:00 PM Monday prior to the funeral. Jerry was born April 22, 1946 in Iredell Co., a son of the late Charlie E. and Deemie Allman Kennerly. He was a life-long area resident and member of Bethpage UMC. Jerry worked for the former Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills for more than 40 years until their closing and then later retired. Jerry loved to garden and grow vegetables to give away. He loved the Lord and was very active in his Church. He is survived by his brother, Ricky L. Kennerly (Sherry) of Salisbury, his sister, Joyce I. Kennerly of Kannapolis, his niece, Jamie L. Feehan (Shawn) of China Grove and his nephew Rodney E. Kennerly of Norwood and 4 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew.
