Jerry Mitchell Tucker

Jerry Mitchell Tucker, 80, of Kannapolis, passed away March 15, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Born December 9, 1941 in Cabarrus, he was the son of the late Jadie and Virginia Tucker.
During his working years, Jerry was a Supervisor at the former Cannon Mills. He loved the beach, fishing, going to yard sales, and trips to auctions. Perhaps more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jerry was loved by many in the community and will be dearly missed. He was a devout member of Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge 626 A.F. & A.M., as well as a social member of the VFW.
Jerry is survived by his wife of over 40 years Stephanie Emerson Tucker; three children, Mitchell Tucker and wife Darlene of Waxhaw, NC, Celeste Parks and Barry Parks, both of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Carly Burns and husband Charlie, Evan Tucker, Jacob Cowan and wife Melissa, and Whitney Parks; three great grandchildren, Sheppard Burns, Willow Cowan, and Garrett Cowan; and a niece, Cindy Beaver.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Tucker and a sister, Linda Merklein.
A funeral service to honor Jerry's life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 19 at Midway United Methodist Church, 708, S. Main St. Kannapolis, NC 28081. Rev. Craig Allen will officiate. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 1:00 prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Masonic rites will be provided by Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge 626 A.F. & A.M.
