Jessie Emma Faw Caudill

Obituary: Jessie Emma Faw Caudill, 90, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, NC went to be with The Lord on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House, following a period of declining health. She was born February 1, 1927 in Ashe County, NC a daughter of the late George Glen Faw and Delma Riffle Faw. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years; Herman Caudill on September 30, 2016, a son, Herman Jerry Caudill, and a brother, Willard (Bud) Faw. Survivors left to cherish her memory are five daughters; Jean (Jim) Caldwell, Amy Osborne, Debbie Laws, Justine (Joe) Fiore, Gill (Mike) Walden, seventeen grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Thelma Lee Testerman of Glendale Springs, NC, and Mary Lou Hayes of Wilkesboro, NC. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Roger Bostic. Interment will follow in West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, August 31, 2017 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. At other times the family will be at the residence of a daughter; Debbie Laws. Jessie and her husband Herman resided in New York for twenty years. While there she retired from the State of New York. They later relocated to Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of New Hope Freewill Independent Baptist Church. She later was employed at Ted's Restaurant in Concord. Jessie served as treasurer of North East Volunteer Fire Dept. for several years. She loved plants and was known for having a green thumb. She was a spunky lady who dearly loved her family; was known as a great cook and hostess, and for her sense of humor.
