Obituary: Jesus "Jesse" Ramirez, 66 of Kannapolis passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Jesse was born on September 14, 1947 in Manhattan, NY. Services to celebrate Jesse's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Al Riquelme C.SsR. officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 9 PM on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Jesse moved to the Kannapolis area in 2000 from New York and was employed with TIAA-CREF. He was a Pension Service Representative and retired on September 14, 2009.A gentleman who enjoyed music and dancing and being with friends and family will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife; Josephine, of the home, his children; Melinda, Rachel, Elliot, and Jonathan, brother and sisters; Joseph, Santos, Rosa, Anna, and Liz, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Ramirez family.
