Jimmy Lee Mize

Obituary: Jimmy Lee William Mize died in his home on August 23, 2015 in Kannapolis, NC. He was 65. Jimmy is preceded in death by his Father, Robert Lee Mize and his Mother, Annie Bell Mize. Jimmy was born on October 17, 1949 in Lexington, NC to his parents, Robert and Annie Mize. He went to Davidson County public schools. Jimmy lived at Barbara Ann Group Home in Kannapolis, NC. He attended and worked at RHA Health Services Day Program in Cleveland, NC where he shredded papers. Jimmy previously attended and worked at CVO Day Program in Concord, NC. He was a member of Harbor Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. Jimmy was a very caring man who genuinely cared about his housemates, group home staffs' and people he met in the community. Jimmy had the ability to brighten up your day with his wonderful sense of humor and his infectious smiles and laughter. Jimmy loved and cared about all of his staffs' at RHA Health Services and he told them. Jimmy loved spending time with his friends in the community at the Joy Proms, Camp Spencer, Shaker's Dances and Sunday Fellowshipping at Harbor Baptist Church. Jimmy loved all kinds of music and gospel music was his favorite to listen to. His group home family and friends will always remember him as funny and loving person. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 1:00PM, at Whitley's Funeral Home and Pastor Ken Simmons will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jimmy's life.
