Jimmy Page Pless

Obituary: Kannapolis - Jimmy Page Pless, 61. of 224 Briarcliff Dr. died at Carolinas Medical Center, Main Hospital in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, April 18, 2009. Death was unexpected. Mr. Pless was born on November 28, 1946, the son of the late Van Page Pless and the late Wilhemenia Bowers Pless. He was employed with Phillip Morris U.S.A. and a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. He loved fishing, NASCAR, horses, his T.V. and dearly loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Margie Helms Pless of the home, a daughter, Wendy Joplin of Concord, two grandchildren; Taylor Joplin and Braxton Joplin and two brothers; Richard Pless and wife, Pat of Kannapolis and Steve Pless and wife, Judy of China Grove, NC. He is also survived by a nephew, Lonnie Pless of Kannapolis. The funeral for Mr. Pless will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Michael Comer. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Whitley's Funeral Home and will be at the family home the remainder of the time.
