Jo Ann (Mullis) Jackson

Jo Ann Mullis Jackson, 81, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis conducted by Rev. Eddie Graham.

Mrs. Jackson will lie in state at Witley’s Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45 for public viewing prior to the service.

Jo Ann was born November 25, 1940 in Scotland County, NC a daughter of the late Onus Denver Mullis and Sadie Lee Snipes Mullis. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeff Jackson and her husband, Jessie Ray Jackson on Feb. 6, 2018.

Jo Ann was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She was known as a great cook. Her family fondly remembers her fried chicken and biscuits.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicky Griggs and husband Tim of Concord and Betty Owens and husband John of Salisbury, two sons, Tony Jackson and wife Theresa of Salisbury, and Larry Jackson of Rockwell, a swist3er, Judy Kelly of Marshville, and a brother Sherrill Mullis and wife Rita of Badin. She was also survived by eight grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Park Rd STE 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
