Joan Marie Pierce Plott

Obituary: Joan Pierce Plott, 53, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at CMC-Northeast Medical Center, Concord. Death was unexpected. Joan was born June 16, 1961 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Harmon Jack Pierce and Mary Elizabeth Smith Pierce. She was a 1979 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and was employed as a registrar at Kannapolis Internal Medicine. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church where she taught the Children's Church. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and being a loving mother and wife. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Grover Wilson Plott, Jr. of the home, son, Cody Plott also of the home, two daughters, Anna Plott Self (Jacob) of Mooresville and Rachel Plott of the home. She is also survived by two brothers Harmon "Steve" Pierce and Douglas Pierce (Celeste) both of Kannapolis. Funeral services will be 5:00 P.M. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Eastwood Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Randall Ritchie. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday at the church prior to the service.
