Joan Carolyn Stiff

Obituary: Joan Carolyn Stiff, 77, of Kannapolis died June 27, 2015 at CHS NorthEast. She was born June 19, 1938 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late E.P. Greenway and Stella Katherine Russell Greenway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Edward Stiff, Sr. brother, Jerry E. Greenway and twin sister, Janette Greenway Vining. Joan had worked at K-Mart for many years and then at Ben Franklin Crafts. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Women's Circle, served on the worship committee and was a member of the choir. She enjoyed playing the piano and arts & crafts. A graveside service was held 2:00 PM Monday, June 29, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Park by Dr. Howard Tyas. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Smith, son, Danny Beam, grandchildren, Hillary Smith, Katie and Aaron Beam, brother, Joe Greenway, sisters, Mary Ann G. Brown, Kay G. Pounds, Judy G.
