Joann Shankle Hardin

Obituary: Joann Shankle Hardin, 84, of Concord died Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Tucker Hospice House after a period of declining health. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2017 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Concord. Joann was born January 22, 1933 in Cabarrus Co., the daughter of the late Sylvester and Nannie Baker Shankle. She was a life-long area resident and a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church since 1976. Joann was an employee of S&D Coffee, working in the Lab until retiring. In addition to her parents Joann was preceded in death by her 2 brothers; Rev. Clyde Shankle and Burton Shankle and her husband, Rev. James Hardin. She is survived by her sons; Randy Saunders (Janet) of Concord, Dennis Saunders (Susan) of Charlotte, her 3 grandchildren; Stephanie Stallings Magliocca, Dustin Stallings, Rodney Saunders and her 4 great-grandchildren; Carter and Cara Magliocca, Zoey Stallings and Kaylee Saunders.
