Joann (Leazer) Underwood

Joann Leazer Underwood, 85, of Mooresville passed away 07-12-2021 at home with her family gathered around.  Joann was a Valentine’s baby in 1936 born to the late Grace and Samuel Leazer in Mooresville, North Carolina.  Joann was the youngest of 15 children and enjoyed lots of family her whole life.  She was employed for many years at Cannon Mills before retiring to enjoy time with her companion of 38 years, Bill Wilhelm who preceded her in death in 2013.

Joann is survived by her children, Jeff Underwood (Lori), Joel Underwood (Dawna), Susan Eurey (Jim) and her grands, great grands and great great grands.

Services held at West Corinth Baptist Church: Receiving at 2:00 with service at 3:00.  The burial is 4:30 at West Lawn Memorial Park.
