Obituary: Joanne W King, 81, passed away at her home on Sept 5th. She was born in Joliet, Illinois on Sept 7th, 1935 to Alexander and Leona Wilson. She is survived by her husband, Gerald King, and sons: Paul of Concord, Phillip of Concord, Randy of Kannapolis, and the late Allyn King. She is also the mother-in-law to two Stephanie's and a loving grandmother to 5 grandchildren: Emily and Allison (Paul) and Alexandra, Lindsey and Andrew (Phillip). She is also survived by her sister, Jeanette Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Western Kentucky with a degree in Music and taught school, before she fully dedicated herself to being a great mother and wife. She was an exceptional cook, and avid reader, and enjoyed family holidays and vacations. She simply had the right touch for making birthdays and holidays special. She will be truly missed, thou the Lord has called her home. Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, September 8, at Carolina Memorial Park with Dr. Andy Langford officiating.
