Jody Hendren Lambert

Obituary: Jody Lynn Hendren Lambert, 52, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Avante Nursing Center following a period of declining health. She was born March 2, 1962 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of Carl Hendren of Kannapolis and the late Gaynelle Compton Hendren. A brother, Steve Nantz also preceded in death. Jody was a 1980 graduate of South Rowan High School. She was employed by Ingersoll-Rand for a number of years and later worked with South Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She also worked at CMC-Northeast Medical Center until retiring due to ill health. Jody was an advocate for pet rescue facilities and loved growing roses. Survivors in addition to her father include two sisters, Cindy Shinn (William) of Mooresville, and Amy Moon (Greg) of Kannapolis, one brother, Tim Hendren ( Lisa) of China Grove, sister-in-law, Lydia Nance of Mooresville, nieces and nephews; Adrian, Andrew, Alyssa, Ariel, Aubrey, Ashley Buell (Noah), Michael Nance, Stephanie Davis, Teresa Bradford, Stephen and Jamie Shinn, Noah Moon and Hannah Moon. She is also survived by two best friends, Rhonda Lambert and Freda Johnson. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home Sunday, November 16, 2014 from4:00-6:00 P.M. At other times they will be at the residence. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Darrell Worley.
