Joe Henry Daniels, Sr.

Obituary: Joe H. Daniels, Sr. 72 of Kannapolis, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at his residence following a period of declining health. He was born November 2, 1941 in Dillon County, SC, a son of the late Joseph Lemuel and Magie Cambel Daniels. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 brothers. Mr. Daniels was formerly employed in the bleaching dept. at Cannon Mills until his retirement. He was a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church and was known for his love of the outdoors. He especially enjoyed gardening and cutting wood. Mr. Daniels was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Daniels will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Buddy Hoffner officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the services. Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife, Evelyn Caulder Daniels of the home, 4 sons; Joe H. Daniels, Jr. of the home, Danny Ray Daniels (Lisa) of Anderson, SC., Timothy Ray Daniels (Amanda) of Gold Hill, and Jamie Ray Daniels (Christina) of W.VA., 2 daughters; Laura Ann Daniels of Harrisburg, and Amy Lynn Garay (Curtis) of China Grove, 2 brothers; Sam Daniels of Montana, and Roy Daniels of Illinois, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 1:00-2:00 P.M., Wednesday August 27, 2014 Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2:00 P.M., Wednesday August 27, 2014 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: West Lawn Memorial Park.
