Joe Warner Edgison

Joe Warner Edgison, 85 years old, of Kannapolis, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 22, 2023.  Joe was born on April 5, 1937 in Cabarrus County to the late Millard and Mable Childress Edgison.

Joe was a strong Christian Man who loved his family very much.  Joe and his wife Patsy are members of Central Baptist Church, where he was a choir member for many years. Joe was a graduate of Winecoff High School where he played multiple sports.  After high school he proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves.  He was a brick mason for 60+ years.  After retiring, he went to work for Green Oaks and Corban Hills Golf Courses as a maintenance worker, who could do and fix just about anything.  Joe was also a local dirt track racer for approximately 10 years.  Being an avid sportsman, he liked golfing, fishing, and bowling and anything associated with the Tar Heels.  He loved beach trips with his family.

Joe was predeceased by his three sisters, Margaret King, Carol Garrett, and Jewell Wagner.  Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 65 years, Patsy Johnson Edgison; his daughters, Lynn Eagle and her husband Mike and Donna Heck and her husband John; his grandchildren, Brandon Sherrill and Sheena Lefler and her husband Luke; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1-2pm at Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis with a funeral service to follow at 2pm.  The interment will take place at Carolina Memorial Park after the service.
