Joe Frank Horne

Joe F. Horne, 85, of Woodleaf, gained his wings on Wednesday, March 26,2025.

Joe was born in Concord to the late Atlas Paul Horne and Ruby Curlee Horne. He left school at an early age to be able to help his parents by working the fields. He enjoyed fishing, camping, motorcycle rides and caring for his family.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley Melton Horne, his siblings Atlas, Nelson, Marie, Wilson and Albert.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Jean Bare, Derek (Carol), Eric (Dora), Gerald (Tammy) and Terry, his sister Rebecca Boone, his 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
