"Joe" Ira Jackson Little, Jr.

Obituary: Ira Jackson "Joe" Little, Jr., age 59, formerly of Kannapolis, died Monday, September 7, 2015 at Concord First Assembly Living Center after a period of declining health. Joe was born in Stanly Co., a son of the late Ira J. Little, Sr. and Zarah L. Little Ward. He was a longtime area resident and member of Brookdale Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard J. Little and his aunt, Mary M. Howard. He is survived by his sisters; Ann Elizabeth Bruyer of Asheville and Janet Sue Ferrell of Waldorf, MD; his aunt, Barbara M. Jarvis of Clemmons and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, September 12 at Whitley's Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Living Center at Concord, 160 Warren C Coleman Blvd N, Concord, NC 28027
