Joe Stamper Plott, Jr.

Obituary: Albemarle, NC- Joe Stamper Plott, Jr., age 69, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Trinity Place, Albemarle, NC after suffering a debilitating stroke in October 2015. He was born December 24, 1946 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late Joe Stamper Plott, Sr. and Carrie Parker Plott. For many years Joe was owner & operator of Plott's Used Cars, Concord, NC for over forty years. He was proud of his military service record having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he earned a Bronze Star. He was a self-made man involved in various entrepreneurial endeavors. Some of his passions including hunting, farming, and the outdoors. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2016 at New Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, Richfield, NC officiated by Rev. Leslee Wray. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service. The remainder of the time the family will be at the home. Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Ava Sparks Plott; his son, Joseph Plott & his fiancée, Shea Cox of New London, NC; his dog, Winston; and a niece, Heather Stancil of Mt.
