Joel "Jb" Ray Billings

Obituary: Joel Ray "JB" Billings, 54, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Born January 9, 1962 in Iredell County, he was a son of James "Jim" Oscar Billings and Peggy McGraw Billings. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Warren and his brother Scott Billings. A loving and devoted father and friend of many, Joel enjoyed NASCAR and football. He had earlier worked as a commercial glass installer. Gone too soon, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. To honor and celebrate JB's life, the family will receive friends Sunday, December 18th from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Annex Chapel of Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis, NC. Family members left to cherish Joel's memory include his longtime companion Kelly Eagle, of the home; his son Josh Billings; his father Jim Billings; his sister Debbie Freeze and husband Jeff; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
