John Daryl Johnson

John Daryl Johnson, 61, of Concord, went into his heavenly home on Saturday, January 2, 2021.

Daryl was born on August 25, 1959 in Cabarrus County to the late John Lucas Johnson and Betty Joyner Johnson, who survives.

Daryl worked as a forklift driver for Sam’s Club. He loved watching sports, especially football and baseball. Some of his favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings, the Atlanta Braves, and Carolina Tar Heels. He also loved taking trips to the beach with his family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Lane.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 38 years, Tonya Johnson; daughter, Heather Johnson, and mother, Betty Johnson.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Central Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 with Rev. Dean Hunter officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
