John Drew Campbell

John Drew Campbell, 62, of Kannapolis, passed away, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Darlington Co. SC to the late John Drew Campbell Sr. and Virginia Idell Tyner Campbell.

Drew was a self-employed contractor, he was very active in his church Lakewood Baptist, in his younger years he was known as a great softball player. Most of all Drew had a big heart for people and would help anyone he could. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory, a son Stephen Campbell of Kannapolis, sister, Jenny Shirley and husband Kent of Kannapolis, and also his best friend Julio Garcia.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a great niece Callie Jo Shirley.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Leigh officiating, the family will see friends following the service.
