John Hampton Dwiggins

Obituary: John Hampton Dwiggins, 73, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2015 at his home due to a heart condition. John was born January 15, 1942 in Iredell County, a son of the late Floyd E. Dwiggins, Sr. and the late Roxie Lee Lewis Dwiggins. He was also preceded in death by daughter Debbie Brown, step-son Danny Gillespie and Brother James Dwiggins. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Ann Dwiggins, daughter, Kelly Dwiggins and partner Gary Wagoner, step-daughter, Angie Pilkington and her husband Brian, step-son, Steve Gillespie and his wife Theresa, brothers Jerry Dwiggins and wife Brenda, Floyd Dwiggins, Jr. and wife Shelby, sister, Diane Dwiggins Packer and grandchildren, Zachary and Brady Wagoner, Phillip and Emily Pilkington, Michael and Tiffany Gillespie, Sierra Brown and Trey Strange. Memorial services will be 6:00 P.M. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Second Baptist Church conducted by Rev.Gary Scoggins. He was self-employed and retired from John's Siding and Windows. He enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, racing and was a Dale Earnhardt fan. John was a proud father and loving grandfather. Keeping in touch with family and lending a helping hand was very important to him. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church 807 Sweet Gum Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
