John Stephen (Steve) Fink

Obituary: John Stephen (Steve) Fink, 77, of Concord passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at his home. He was born December 23, 1937 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late John A. Fink and Ruth Whitley Fink. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Miller. Steve retired from Carolina Memorial Park where he was a supervisor for many years. He was a member of Granite Quarry Fellowship. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He loved his family and he loved his horses. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel officiated by Rev. Rob Roberts and Dr. David Caron. The family will receive friends after the service at the mausoleum. He is survived by his wife, Mary Whittington Fink, daughter, Suzanne Irvin of Kannapolis, step-son, Lynn Eagle (Ginger) of Concord , grandchildren, Darren and Meredith Eagle and Philip Irvin, his sister, Ann Griffin (Bill) of Concord and brother-in-law, Dave Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coltrane Life Center, 321 Corban Ave. SE, Concord, NC 28025 and/or Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
