Obituary: Dateline: Rockwell, NC John Gordon Freeley, 52, of 421 Palmer Road, Rockwell, NC died at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, NC on Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Death was unexpected. Mr. Freeley was born on April 20, 1957 in Cortland, NY, the son of the late Gordon John Freeley and Mrs. Ethel Anne Stalley Freeley of Kannapolis, NC. John was the store manager of a convenient store in Mooresville, NC. He Loved the Lord with all his heart and dearly loved his family. In addition to his mother, John is survived his girlfriend, Rayne Couch of the home, by 3 sons: Dustin Freeley of NY, NY, Evan Freeley of Fayetteville, NY and Owen Freeley of Baldwinsville, NY. By 2 daughters: Shannon F. Greene of Laurinburg, NC and Elyn Freeley of Baldwinsville, NY. John is also survived by a brother, Greg D. Freeley & wife, Pam of Charlotte, NC and 3 sisters: Bobbi Bush and Lesley Ball & husband, Jim of Utica, NY and Kimberly Freeley & Michael of New Hartford, NY. A Memorial Service to honor Johns Life will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Donald E. Burleyson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church 3006 Pennsylvania Ave. Kannapolis, NC 28083.
