Obituary: John Israel Campbell, Jr. 56, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Tucker Hospice House. Mr. Campbell was born February 21, 1957 in Cabarrus County to John Israel Campbell, Sr. and Juanita Simpson Campbell both survive. He worked for almost 30 years for Phillip Morris in Richmond, Virginia. Survivors include his parents; two children, Jessica Campbell and John Israel Campbell, III; three grandchildren, Shandon Cruse, Nykayla Cruse, and Daven Cruse; two sisters, Linda Kerr (Randy) of Mt. Ulla and Debbie Scott (Danny) of Kannapolis; and his former wife, Diana Seifts; and his K-9 Companion "Max". A funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
