John Michael Overcash

John Michael Overcash, 62, of Winston Salem, previously from Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2022, at Gordon Hospice House. Michael graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in 1978 and became a Master Jeweler. He worked at several jewelry stores designing and making all types of jewelry for many customers until his health declined. Michael loved to collect antiques and restore classic cars. He enjoyed music and art and had an extensive collection of both. Michael is predeceased by his parents Maurice Lee Sr. and Edna Overcash and brother Maurice Lee Jr. “Buddy” Overcash. He is survived by nephews; Travis Overcash (Emily) and W.L. Overcash and families as well as aunt and uncle Billie and Peggy Overcash along with several cousins. The family wishes to thank Gordon Hospice House for their impeccable love and care for Michael, especially social worker, Karen Luther.

As per Michael’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
