Obituary: Johnnie Lee Carter age 78 of 10120 Bostian Fisher Road, Rockwell, N.C. passed away at his home Saturday June 12, 2010 after 3 years of illness. Born May 11,1932 in Rowan County to the late George Washington Carter and the late Nell Litaker Carter. He was educated in the Rowan County Schools. He retired from Cabarrus Creamery as plant supervisor after many years of service. Mr. Carter was a member of Kannapolis Congregation of Jehovah Witness. He was a loving husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 and a half years. Doris Earnhardt Carter of the home. One daughter, Dianne Carter Marze, and husband Roy of Kannapolis. Two sons, George Micheal Carter, and wife Cindy of Rockwell. Johnnie Darryl Carter and wife Karen of Concord. One brother, Fred W. Carter, and wife Bernice of Rockwell. One Sister, Kathleen Carter Stirewalt of Landis. Six Grandchildern, Michelle Schneider and husband John of Greenville, Sc. James Morrow, and wife Tina of Spokane Washington. Sarah Pless and husband Frank of Concord, NC. Lisa Eudy and husband Mike of Concord, NC. Justin Carter and wife Angie of Rockwell, NC. Candace Carter of Concord, NC. Thirteen Great- Grandchildren and a special Niece Jeanie Eberhart and husband Johnny of Marietta, GA. Funeral Services will be, Wednesday June 16, 2010, 7:30pm at the Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel. Glenn Lyles will officiate at the service. The family will see friends Wednesday from 6 until 7:30 pm, at Whitley's Annex Chapel.
