Obituary: Concord- Johnnie Carl "J.C." Miles, 75, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at CMC-Northeast Medical Center, following a period of declining health. Born May 25, 1943 in Chesterfield, SC, he was a son of the late Johnnie and Eller Jordan Miles. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his brother, James Albert Miles and sisters, Dorothy Bell, Lillie Mae, Margie, and a baby sister. J.C. was owner and operator of Discount Mobile Homes for more than 20 years. Mr. Miles had also worked at White Owl Antique Mall in Mt. Pleasant. He had attended Truth Temple, now City Revival Church, for more than 20 years. J. C. enjoyed time spent with his family, fishing and working in his shop. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Miles was a loving husband to his wife of nearly 56 years, Geraldine Copley Miles; a devoted father to his sons, Mark Miles (Vanessa) and Rodney Miles (Mandy Garner); and a proud grandfather of Danielle (Ben), Isaac and Layla. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 8th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Miles will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Bryn Waddell and Rev. Garland Faw.
