Obituary: Johnny Bradford Corriher, 84, passed away Monday morning, August 29, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House, with his loving wife by his side. Born June 7, 1932 in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Walter Jack Corriher and Millie Frances Mabe Corriher. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by 5 sisters. Mr. Corriher had earlier worked for Cannon Mills as an over hauler and later worked with Frank A. Corriher Well Drilling Company. Blessed with many talents, Johnny was also a master carpenter, having built many homes in the area. Johnny and his wife Hazel were volunteers at CMC-Northeast Medical Center for 10 years. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Johnny will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife, Hazel Goodman Corriher; his daughters Nancy Darby and husband Daryl, of China Grove and Kathy Eudy and her husband, Steve, of Kannapolis; his brother, Walt Corriher; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Mr. Corriher's life will begin at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Greg Gordon, pastor, Jackson Park United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Johnny Corriher.
