Obituary: Jonathan Lee (Jonah) Blevins, age 45, passed away on November 1, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC after a period of declining health. He was born in Roanoke, VA, the son of Genevieve Lyle Blevins of Salem, VA and the late Cecil C. Blevins. Jonah was a 1988 graduate of Salem High School and attended college learning computer science. Having worked for Allstate Insurance Company for many years, he relocated to North Carolina in the early 2000s. He was a licensed insurance agent in seven different states. Among his many interests, he enjoyed computer games, cross-stitching, word puzzles, and coloring in various books. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 301 Mount Olivet Road, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Cherly Skinner. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends after the memorial service in the church. Survivors in addition to his mother include one sister, Faith Newcomb (Kevin) of Roanoke, VA; two brothers, Larry Blevins of Salem, VA and Cecil Ray (Buddy) Blevins (Diane) of Blacksburg, VA; a number of nieces & nephews; and a special friend, David Alexander of Kannapolis, NC. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 128 S. Tryon Street, Suite 1588, Charlotte, NC 28202 or Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
Visitation: The family will receive friends after the Memorial Service.

Service: 2:00PM Wednesday November 4, 2015 Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.

Interment: Burial at a later date.
