Jonathan Craig Wood

Obituary: Jonathan Craig Wood, 31, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 in Salisbury. Jonathan was born November 5, 1981 in Concord, NC to Keith and Teresa Wood. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandson. He served four and a half years in the Marine Corps before becoming a disabled veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lauren Wood; three sons, Levi, Gauge, and Gunner Wood; a sister, Britney Wood of Jacksonville, NC; parents, Keith and Teresa Wood of Jacksonville, NC; grandparents, Wynell Wood of China Grove and Evelyn Fields of Kannapolis; father-in-law, Phil Dayvault, and mother-in-law, Dawn Dayvault; and a sister-in-law, Kyndal Fisher. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Cuthiel Wood and Gilbert Fields. A funeral service will be held 11:30 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2013 at Northwest Baptist Church with the Rev. Darren Sanders and Major Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. in Salisbury. The family will greet friends from 11:00-11:30 A.M. prior to the service in the fellowship hall at Northwest Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to his mother, Teresa Wood for the care of Jonathan's three boys; 116 Patsy Lane Hubert, NC 28539. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the Wood family.
