Joseph Aaron Broome, 40, of Kannapolis passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
Born August 4, 1980 in Cabarrus Co., Joseph was the son of Rev. Darrell and Bonnie Honbarrier Broome of Kannapolis. He was a lifelong area resident and attended Kannapolis City Schools as a child. Joseph was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church in China Grove. As an adult, Joseph worked as a self-employed floor installer. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
Joseph was preceded in death his grandparents; Wade and Lavonia Dixon and Betty Honbarrier.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his children, Travis Helms and Matthew Broome, his granddaughter, Payton Helms, his parents, Darrell and Bonnie Broome of Kannapolis, his grandparents, Margie and Jimmy Canup and Dewey Honbarrier, his sisters, Angie S. Richardson and Jennifer B. Phifer and his 2 brother’s-in-law, Danny Richardson and Donald Phifer, all of Concord and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services to remember and celebrate the life of Joseph will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Robert Earnhardt. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 at the cemetery.
