Obituary: Joseph Franklin Morris, 73 of Kannapolis, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at CMC-NE following a period of declining health. He was born in Kannapolis on October 5, 1938. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 1:00 PM at West Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home main chapel prior to graveside services. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Flora Kay Rice Morris, sons; Joseph Morris Jr. of Statesville, James Lee Dauback of Tampa, FLA., and Timothy Morris of China Grove, a daughter; Kimberly Morris Beaver of Kannapolis, and 5 grandchildren.
