Joseph Mcgalliard

Obituary: Mr. Joseph "Joe" Dial McGalliard, 64, of China Grove went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at CMC-Northeast Medical Center, Concord following a period of declining health. He was born June 2, 1949 in Rowan County a son of the late Robert Thomas and Sarah Frances Dial McGalliard. Joe was a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Salisbury. Prior to becoming disabled he was employed at Everglow Sign Company and later Stay Clean Diffuser in East Spencer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at New Testament Independent Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Bobby Utley and Rev. Bruce Graham. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 1:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Survivors include three sons, Robert (Jessica) McGalliard of China Grove, Christian (Roxie) McGalliard of Ft. Mill, SC and Richard McGalliard serving with the US military in Afghanistan. One brother, Robert "Tony" (Sandra) McGalliard of China Grove, two sisters, Memory (Rev. Bobby) Utley of Kannapolis and Joy Loden of Concord. He is also survived by two grandsons, Chandler and Raylon and granddaughter Elora. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. McGalliard.
