Obituary: Kannapolis - Joseph "Wade" Parson, 65 of 160 Boxwood Ct. Kannapolis died Tuesday May 26, 2009 at the Hospice House of Cabarrus County. He was born June 14, 1943 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late James Grant Parson and the late Mollie Beatrice Barnes Parson. He had retired due to disability from Auto Truck Transport, Cleveland. He loved to watch drag racing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Whitley's Funeral Home. His funeral will be 4:00 PM Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Sonny Waller. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. At other times they will be at 5850 Alexander Rd., the home of his sister-in-law Joyce Parson. He is survived by his wife Linda Waller Parson, his daughter Starr Adams of Kannapolis and his son Thomas Parson of Kannapolis, and two grandchildren Dustin Parson and Alexis Parson-Adams.
